Mike Crumbie (1938 -2002)

Amongst other things, Mike was the chairman of the Village Hall Commitee, chairman of the Millennium Project and editor / founder of the quarterly newsletter.

Mike was also the secretary and treasurer of the Swallowcliffe Computer Club.

He was a member of the Royal British Legion and also a Local Parish Councillor.

Mike was a keen artist with some of his work hanging in the U.S.A, Middle East and London. He has also won international photo competitions in the Middle East.

While serving in the Royal Navy he flew internationally in search and rescue competitions for the UK team.

Also Mike was a facilitator in The Education Business Partnership for North Dorset.

He recently contributed articles for the publication 'Breeding Birds of Arabia'.

Sadly Mike passed away in January 2002 after a short illness. He will be sorely missed by the villagers of Swallowcliffe.
