COMING SOON TO
A LOCATION NEAR YOU!
Ever been to the Police Station only to find it closed?
Tried ringing and got that robotic answerphone message?
Tried to flag a Police car down and been left in a shower of water/gravel/dust
as it flies by with the sirens blaring and the blue lights on?
Do not fear the mobile Police Station is coming. The mobile what?
Well not exactly a Police Station, I mean it’s not made of
bricks and it doesn’t have a tiled roof or foundations…….
or a toilet. Alright it’s just a big Police car with a table
and some comfy chairs in the back! Anyway if you want to speak
to a Police Officer there will be one in the ‘Mobile Police
Station’ at the locations and dates listed below.
It could be any one of us so it will always be a surprise. Make
a note in your diary, better still pin this up on your door as
a reminder and pop along. IMPORTANT NOTE: Police Officers
almost never bite and will not hurt you unless you frighten them.
If in
doubt a ‘nice cup of tea’ will always put them at ease!

BOGUS CALLER ALERT – THEY ARE
ABOUT
There have been several incidents recently in neighbouring
areas to ours of Bogus callers ripping off the elderly and vulnerable.
The methods haven’t changed it’s still the “There’s
a gas/water/electricity leak down the road (hang on…..electricity
leak! I’d like to see that!) and I need to come in and switch
something off.”
I can only repeat earlier advice delivered in this bulletin.
ALWAYS ASK FOR IDENTIFICATION, LOOK AT IT CAREFULLY, IS THERE A
NUMBER ON IT YOU CAN RING TO CHECK? DO THEY LOOK RIGHT? HAVE THEY
GOT A VEHICLE?
DO NOT LET ANYONE INTO YOUR HOUSE UNLESS YOU KNOW WHO THEY ARE.
IF YOU ARE IN ANY DOUBT RING ‘999’ IMMEDIATELY.
