POLICE
STATIONS CLOSING? – THAT’S NEWS TO ME.
Some of you have approached me and
other officers stationed here saying that you have heard rumours
that the Police Station here in Tisbury is going to close. The
latest information from the powers that be is that there are no
plans to close any Police Stations. So do not worry. Rumours are
just that………. rumours. It looks like I will
be the Neighbourhood Beat Team Manager for the Tisbury area and
PC Bob Salter has been selected for the same job in the Mere area.
The latest information is that we should be ‘going live’ on
the 14th of December with a PCSO (Police Community Support Officer)
each to assist. All other Police Officers on the Tisbury and Mere
Section will have by then moved elsewhere.
