Mere

- Sponsored Bike Ride -

Firstly, We would like to Thank every for their kind donations for the charities involved. All together we rose over £350! Making us the joint highest money raisers out of all 90 NPTs in Wiltshire.

- Wolverton / Zeals -

We have noticed an increase in activity at Zeals Recreation and Zeals Fish Farm! It appears people are entering the fish farm, via the bottom end to go what appears fishing!! This needs to have a stop put to it as these fish our grown to sell, Not to be fished for from this lake.

Between ourselves, Wolverton NHW [Philip Schofield] and Fish Farm Owner [Tony Campbell] we are keeping a close eye on evening activities.

Zeals Recreation seems to have more visitors recently, namely older youths from surrounding villages. I spoke to one group who smelt of cannabis! They denied this [of course they would] however, a Cannabis Grinder was seized, No drugs where located.

- Dog Fouling Mere Recreation -

Dear Dog Walkers, Please ensure you remove your dogs ‘deposit’ on these playing fields, as people of all ages use this area for recreation. I had hoped my previous request would have been listened to. However, appears NOT to have been!! There are bins provided, so you do not have to take it home again. Also Mere Police do have £50 tickets for dog fouling. There is No excuse why not to clean up, it is a natural for a dog to do this during walks, and it is not new!

Dear Everyone, To help limit this needless issue within Mere. I am asking if you can name and shame people to me, that Do NOT clean up after their dog[s]!!!

Tisbury

- Littering Tisbury Football Pitch/ High Street -

We are regularly getting reports of the amount of litter, which is being cleaned up most Saturday/Sunday/Monday mornings. We will tackle this issue and by issuing Littering tickets to all concerned. As there are bins to place the rubbish, just pure laziness to just chuck it on the ground!

- Community Intel -

Community Intel refers to information obtained from Members of the Pubic, about incidents/things they have noticed/stuff they have heard that might be of interest to us. We do like to hear information that might be relevant. As This Intel might be the missing information we required or could lead to crime prevention.

This information is as relevant to Mere area. We just did not want to double print.

- Police Letter Box [Fovant] -

Fovant Post Office has recently installed a Police Post Box. This post will be checked regularly by one of the team. Please do post Information you want us to be aware of, Please DO NOT try reporting anything this way, Please use 0845 408 7000 [Non Emergency] or 999 [in an emergency].
